Custom Sports Lockers for City Football Academy

Casey Fields’ new City Football Academy is Melbourne City Football Club’s purpose-built training and administration hub located in Cranbourne East. The redevelopment, which added multiple grass and synthetic pitches, expanded administration and sports-medicine spaces, and spectator facilities was constructed in 2022 and officially unveiled in April 2024 as the club’s new headquarters at Casey Fields.

Local and club partners describe the site as a “centre of excellence” for men’s, women’s and youth programs, featuring two-and-a-half grass pitches, three synthetic fields, hydrotherapy pools, multiple gyms, 16 changerooms and community spaces. A major upgrade to the precinct that also supports community football in Melbourne’s southeast.

IntraSpace supplied the internal fit-out for the players’ facilities, building custom lockers and under-seat storage, laminate lockers, open lockers, shoe shelving, bench seating, hanging hooks and programmable digital locks and safes for the main players’ changeroom and ancillary change rooms. Cushions for seating were added as an excellent finishing touch to an already impressive set-up. The project provided the secure, high-quality locker-room systems used throughout this section of the new pavilion.

The installation of the IntraSpace storage system in our redeveloped Emergency Department has been a very positive process. The modular system has improved workflow and we are now reviewing our work practices to capture the efficiencies with improved outcomes. Compliance to Infection Control for both Storage and Handling of Sterile stock and the Victorian Cleaning Standards is being met with decreased resources and man hours due to the efficiencies the system provides.
