Modern Student Lockers for University of Melbourne – WEBS
In August 2017, Kane Builders were engaged by The University of Melbourne (UoM) to deliver the $63.8 million WEBS project; an innovative new biosciences precinct that will further the university’s international reputation for excellence.
Kane engaged IntraSpace to design, supply and install the locker solution for the student lockers in the new WEBS Building. This involved a lot of consultation with the users, security and the University to achieve the functionality they required for the locking. All lockers were all fitted with a Gantner RFID solution that allows the students to swipe the doors open with an access card, so no padlocks or keys that need to be carried.
