Laminate Tilt Tables for Mentone Grammar

Mentone Grammar is a secondary school for students from ELC to Year 12. The campus is comprised of modern facilities offered in a small environment, where every student receives the support and care they need to excel in their schooling years.

In January 2013, Mentone Grammar introduced an entirely new campus designed specifically for Year 9 students. Known as the Greenways Year 9 campus, it’s an innovative learning centre that promotes dynamic learning experiences, where students have access to state of the art facilities and technology in a contemporary environment.

To provide a dynamic learning space for students, Mentone Grammar needed Laminate Tilt Tables that could be relocated or stored away with very little fuss. IntraSpace was approached by architects, Kneeler Design, to complete the furnishing task for Mentone Grammar

IntraSpace consulted Kneeler Design on the project requirements and supplied the campus with four different coloured compact laminate tables.

Improved Storage and Layout Flexibility

The Laminate Tilt Tables allowed for more flexible classroom layouts. By tilting the laminate base vertically, the tables could be stored away in a corner or relocated for use in another classroom.

Each laminate base is polished, with a black powder coat frame and brushed chrome legs for a contemporary look. The polished laminate base is highly resistant to scratching, chipping, fading and discolouration.

An Evolving Learning Space

The sleek and minimal design of the tables is visually appealing, representing the innovative nature of the facility itself and its unique approach to learning. The tilt functionality provides a convenient storage solution for staff and cleaners, while the wheels make the tables easy to transport and reconfigure into different furniture arrangements.

IntraSpace worked closely with Kneeler Design to deliver a complete furniture solution. By identifying the need for modular furniture, Mentone Grammar improved the efficiency of their storage needs, and established a dynamic learning space that could change and evolve over time.
