School Library Furniture Solutions To Revive An Ageing Space

IntraSpace were approached by Coburn Primary School to construct and install new library furniture solutions. Our team collaborated closely with staff to update its ageing aesthetic and create a more functional environment.

Why Did The Library Need New Furniture Solutions?

The library’s original layout and furniture wasn’t reaching its full potential.

Teacher’s resources like textbooks, guides, reports and archives took up a large amount of room across the back wall. Chairs and tables were outdated and left little to be desired. Bookshelves were quite tall, cumbersome and difficult for students to access. This also made it time-consuming for library staff to catalogue everything.

Our Solutions

IntraSpace installed new Mobile Laminate Shelving units. These library furniture solutions have wheels and can be easily transported to make room for group activities. Each unit has shelves on both sides to save on space. And they are the perfect height for students to grab their favourite books.

The 3 Tier Book Display is an eye-catching and practical centrepiece. Students are greeted with the latest, award-winning novels – which are neatly displayed on the multi-tier, Laminex shelves.

Creativity and innovative design come together with the new Chomp Tables. These modular tables can be linked together for group activities and accommodate for different sized classes. Plus, the steel tube frames are powder coated for corrosion-resistance in humid conditions.

The Student 4 Chairs are made from child-friendly polyethylene material. Each chair is height adjustable and the textured ergonomic shell provides essential back support.
