The Newport Gardens Primary School campus is an education faculty in Victoria’s western suburbs. Here, students from prep to Year 6 develop crucial academic skills and knowledge in English, Mathematics and a range of specialist subject classes.

When the campus decided to refurbish their school library, IntraSpace were selected as the supplier of choice. The IntraSpace crew consulted the school and library staff to understand the job requirements.

The result was a total library storage systems fitout with custom-end furniture, and contemporary book displays to showcase the latest book releases.

Durable Library Selving

IntraSpace supplied the campus with Double Sided Metal Library Shelving, which was arranged in a classic aisle formation.

A unique addition to the library shelving was the custom end shelves. Inside a locked compartment, the library computer was safely stored, while the monitor and keyboard were placed onto the desk space.

Students could use the computer to access the library directory. And find the corresponding code to quickly locate their chosen book.

Book Displays

To provide students with quick and easy access to the latest books, IntraSpace supplied the library with free-standing library storage furniture.

The 3 Tier Book Display is an eye-catching centrepiece. It showcases the latest novels and picture books for students who are eager to read the latest releases. Meanwhile, the Laminate Book Box allows students to browse through the collection to find something new.

The Results

IntraSpace were able to reinvent Newport Garden’s library with an array of modern and colourful library storage furniture. Bold grey tones, hints of orange and brightly coloured furniture gave the library a professional, yet, light-hearted sense of character.

Plus, the new book displays, boxes and library shelving furniture gave students a fresh and exciting way to discover new reading material.

The installation of the IntraSpace storage system in our redeveloped Emergency Department has been a very positive process. The modular system has improved workflow and we are now reviewing our work practices to capture the efficiencies with improved outcomes. Compliance to Infection Control for both Storage and Handling of Sterile stock and the Victorian Cleaning Standards is being met with decreased resources and man hours due to the efficiencies the system provides.
